Glaciers shed ice tears.
Care ye not for the children to come?
Listen to the sound of wailing winds
as earth reels in shock
and oceans rise in bewilderment.
Why hast you forsaken me?
Photos from our Alaska trip. Glaciers cracking and melting: global warming and climate change cannot be denied. June 1, 2017: the U.S., under one man’s decision, retreats from its global responsibility.
So sad, these ice tears. I feel this too will pass, and his successors will undo the wrongs 💜

Am heartened by all the mayors, governors, companies, saying they will all continue to follow the spirit of the Accord, regardless of the president’s withdrawal.

Doesn’t seem appropriate to “Like” this…but I thank you for your comment. Am heartened by the response by governors, mayors, companies, etc….I trust the US (maybe not its president) will continue to work to save our planet for generations to come.

The decision to withdraw from the Paris Accord signed and ratified by the United States calls forth many adjectives including dishonourable. I am boosted by hearing that despite this American cities, groups, individuals and businesses have vowed to reduce their emissions and attempt to participate in reducing the worst effects of climate change. I like that you shared a piece of evidence from your trip.

I too am heartened by the response of so many. One president does not a country make.
