Scentalicious

Backyard lilac walk-about
honeysuckle and new cut grass
leaves piled high, burning bright
apple-pie-oven and baking bread
grandma’s wrinkled talcum skin
gingerbread men and cinnamon
outside pine tree brought within
season by season,
scentalicious all

Some of my favourite scents right there – so difficult to choose amongst them! Best be greedy and have them all!

I love the scents in this – new cut grass, cinnamon, talcumed skin….I know all these scents so very well and this just takes me back, way back.

Each season has its memories — so many triggered by their aromas.

Ah, thank you Victoria! Involved with grandkids these past few days. Awake in the middle of the night for a bit — shall finally do my dVerse reading tomorrow. Always look forward to seeing yours! I shall get there — albeit late to the bar.

Your senses seem to be poetically on point. I can smell the ginger bread and pine

These all sound wonderful. Burned out the olfactory early in my youth and have no sense of smell. I’ll take your word on this, Lillian!
