“Millions of peaches, peaches for free. Millions of peaches, peaches for me.” I can’t remember the name of the band, but one summer my kids played an album of theirs incessantly and it included a peaches song and it always pops up when I see a peach. Crazy.

Fun! That’s what this blogging world is all about….and least I’ve found it so. The connections we make, in our heads, in the cybersphere, with others who for some reason, find a connection in what we’ve written, drawn, painted, photographed, etc As the old saying goes, “Ain’t it grand?”
Thanks for stopping by….tried to find you to meander your site but clicking on the beautiful little bluebird only tells me you’re from California and your personal email? The images to click on for your website etc only have ? marks on them….and clicking n TJMARK says thiis is not registered with WP. So sorry I cannot return to see your site.

    Hi Lillian,
Finally catching up…though everything keeps running away…:)
My mouth began watering from the first line. This piece toggles that delicate fibrous thread between sensual and sweet.
You know I subbed a fifth grade class yesterday and I had a peach in my bag. I came home and the peach was still in my bag. I’d forgotten all about it and was sorry I hadn’t eaten it.
Now I’m even more remorseful 😉
    Happy Thursday!
    am:)

So NICE to see you over my morning coffee this morning! Somehow, when Alan left, and then you disappeared (for good reason — yard sales are all consuming!), I felt a bit like that kid in the playground, standing on the very edge, waiting and watching….
Fifth grade eh? That’s an “in between grade” — still elementary, not quite to the top of elementary…hope you had fun!
      Glad you liked this one….

        Hi Lillian –
I keep trying to stay out of school, yet they find me 🙂 Just returned from 2nd grade and all I will say is yowza! The school year must end. The classrooms are quite stifling now – those old buildings are killer…
I loved your poem this am – it was lively and yummy 🙂

I love it! This took me back to my days as a little girl. We lived in the country and were lucky enough to always have a peach tree nearby. Not many days went by that I didn’t pull one from a tree, wipe it on my shirt and bite into it—- allowing the juice to run down my arm and the fuzz on the peel to tickle my tongue. Thanks for the vivd memory!
