rejuvenatement – not retirement

America

Inauguration Day, 2021

January 20, 2021lillian4 Comments

Today is the day skies shall clear,
dawn arrives at noon.
Listen carefully,
hear the collective sigh.

Democracy,
assaulted two weeks ago,
shall reappear battered
but not beaten.

Lady Liberty,
let your torch shine proudly again!
Our spirits, like the majestic eagle,
will soar to new heights.

CherishedAmerica, democracy, hope

So Nice to Meet You!
