The Bee’s Knees

Handstand acrobat.
Mainly small time gigs,
circus tents in rural areas.
Environmentalist at heart.
Some thought her silly
giving up two weeks of pay,
assisting farmers in their fields.
Strange sight though,
legs in the air.
Pollen dusted knees
moving through acres,
attracting bees.

oh yes…..but it’s the walking upside down through the fields, on your hands….that’s what makes her a bit unique! 🙂 LOVED your poem for this prompt, Bjorn.

Those bees do see like acrobats. All they need is someone to attract them.

I wish I could still do hsndstands, Lill! And I love the pollen dusted knees. I’d love to see someone doing that around here, it would cheer me up no end!

Delightful, lillian. Anytime I tried walking on my hands, I collapsed in a heap! 😉

I worked with an actor who could walk on his hands for hours, juggle, ride a unicycle–after three years of acting training he went to Barnum & Bailey Clown School, and has been a professional clown for 40 years.

It’s good to “mix it up”. One gets tired of walking upright all the time. Love this!

It takes a lot of balance to do a hand stand,

If it is for a good cause then it will look a lot less silly when one enjoys doing it! Thanks for hosting Lillian, Ma’am!

Hand stands and pollen dusted knees. This reminds me of the Pippi Longstocking books I read as a kid.

Oh, delightful! The world’s turned upside down at the moment – how great to see the joy in being upside down sometimes!
