I used to be told I saw everything through rose-coloured glasses, Lill, but recently they lost their colour. I hope they get it back or I’ll have to buy a new pair.

Ah Kim….I am one of those who keeps adjusting my rose-colored glasses. I always try to keep them on….sadly, sometimes they slip down the bridge of my nose and I peer out above them.

Ah I understand. The contrast makes us appreciate the beauty even more.

I am one who is always trying to wear my rose-colored glasses. Occasionally they slip down the bridge of my nose and I peer out above them and do not like what I see. So I try to shove them back up quickly. For me….a positive attitude even in the presence of challenge is always helpful.

Too often I misplace my rose-colored glasses. I like how they are also in short supply during this coronavirus pandemic.

Indeed they are in short supply right now….so much dire news.

My rose colored glasses have been a bit smudgy of late too, but think of the poor people who have none at all! Loved your poem.

Oh you are exactly right. There are many now who have eyes blinded by fear and tears. Very hard to come by rose-colored glasses right now.

Rose color has been mixing with dark gray lately

I do agree. Yet I also think we must try to focus on positives to help us get through this thing.

The shape of the poem is wonderful, and so is the message. I prefer yellow-tinted glasses; better seeing at night. These days I wear a blues man’s dark shades.

Oh I LOVED the Blues Brothers! Think I may have to find that on Pay-Per-View…..it would be a good diversion.

Exactly. I fear they are as rare as toilet paper though!

Did you know they did actually used to sell rose tinted glasses for chickens – apparently stopped them pecking at each other. I’m torn between wondering if I want to put mine on and live in the past for a bit, or if I want to look clearly back, and realise things have always been tough, and things likely will always be tough, but humans thrive even in the toughest of times. I think there may be more hope without, also I’m guessing I’d have to pay extra for my prescription. Thanks for the poem

Nice prompt combining! And the classes are clear to see in the shape of your poem! I used to carry the worlds weight on me, and it was crushing. Now I have my own corner of the world and I still work to make this place a better one, and positive attitude and sense of humor are essential! Thank you for this, brought a smile on my morning.

What a wonderful reply….thank you Anthony. And I agree….there is something called the Serenity Prayer which comes to mind.

Far too many of the world’s leaders invested in a pair of these very early on in this crisis.

I totally agree, Kerry. Your point is well taken.
Yet I find that if I concentrate on the news, the dire predictions, and the worst for me, watch this president’s press conferences, my blood pressure can go sky high. I remind myself, I can ACT in November!

The rose-coloured glasses I wore all my life have slipped down my nose badly since 2016. Smiles. I much preferred the way I felt when I was wearing them.
