Thank You

You are harborrific.
When squalls appear,
dark clouds that threaten hope
creating an eclipse hard to swallow,
you are my comfort place.

I love our passion.
But mostly . . .

I love lying beside you.
Our hand-touching-hand
breath-slowing-to-sleep
end-of-day soothing, calming
togetherness time.

I’m hosting Quadrille Monday at dVerse, the virtual pub for poets. Today, I’m asking folks to consider the word harbor. Use harbor or a form of the word in your quadrille (a poem of exactly 44 words, sans title). I’m looking for harborlicious poems — taking a bite of poetic license with the word is allowed — as long as we see the word. Pub opens at 3 PM Boston time. Come join us!

Exactly! My husband looked at me this afternoon when after searching the web for the perfect photo for this post, I gave up and had him sit on our bed with our hands posing for this shot πŸ™‚ But it really is….that total calm and sense of well being…that comfort of a relationship. Exactly! πŸ™‚

So clever, fun, lyrical and romantic. You soothe jangled ids, and conjure envy for those who do not enjoy the completeness of a marriage or relationship–for a myriad of reasons. You left me wistful and smiling.

Thank you. We are indeed thankful for every day we share πŸ™‚ I think when one is in their 7th decade, you begin to treasure each day a bit more. Perhaps it’s because we have more time to actually savor the moments? The hubbub of rushing about slows way way down — but then of course, so do the knees ability to do that! πŸ™‚
