The She of Serenity

Nature’s nymph.
Child of the moon, wed to earth.
Mossy slippers quiet her step.
Willow frond skirt swishes in breeze,
natural scent blends with trees.
Seek her healing balm
amongst urban parks, forest glens.
Or retreat within your mind,
savor soothing rivulets of calm.

So glad, Frank. Funny….that one word is the one I struggled with…changed it many times: paths, trails, streams, rivers….finally decided on “rivulets” — so glad you affirmed my choice! πŸ™‚

Me too! Although I must say, it’s a little bit harder to get outside when, like today, the temperature is 98 degrees! I’m waiting for autumn! πŸ™‚

Nature girl, earth mother for sure. It is odd that Nature can spark calm just be stepping into her, rivaling even inner peace & meditation.

Ah yes….but today, with temperatures predicted at 98 degrees and to feel like 105 by the time the humidity is accounted for, I may just have to lie down on the floor and put on my meditation music to find that natural calm πŸ™‚

Ooh, that’s a lovely 9-liner β€” I loved how the subject is introduced and then the verse goes to bare essentials about it. A serene imagery matched with a gentle flow make for quite a beautiful verse.

Your poem didn’t make sense to me at first because I know a nymph by its other definition. After reading and rereading your poem, I finally googled nymph…. then it made all the sense in the world. My mind finally was able to absorb your wonderful poem. Ahhhh..
