Anxiety

still standing
standing still
both feet bolted
fear clamped
desperate
to flee

A twiglet is a short phrase. Or a word. Maybe two. Its aim is to “prompt” a flow. A thought. The shorter the better.  Misky posts Twiglet prompts every Tuesday. Anxiety uses twiglets 32 (with both feet) and 33 (still standing). Photo in public domain at Pixabay.

Your words encapsulate depression – still standing standing still / bolted, clamped, desperate.

I’ve actually suffered anxienty attacks for a number of years — long story. They are far and few between now — thank goodness. But they do indeed bolt your feet to the ground. And yes, depression can have the same bolted clamped feeling.
      Thanks for reading, Jilly 🙂

It truly is a horrible feeling to have your feet rooted down like cement, unable to move — been there. I much prefer the thought of tap dancing through life 🙂
