Traveler’s Guide

Sow seeds of beauty as you travel earth.
Mirror the sun.
Shine kindness upon frozen souls,
splash colors brightly.
Climb as the ivy does,
each dawn higher,
each morn basking in hope.

Written for dVerse where Björn hosts, asking us to write about soil/earth. Photos: Norwegian fjords; gardens in Blarney Village (Ireland); house in Kinsale, Ireland; dawn from the deck of our cruise ship on our way to Dublin. Final photo taken in midst of Norwegian fjords fascinates me — note the shadow of mountains on the mountain — looks like a face!

The shadow does look like a face. I like the idea of shining kindness on frozen souls by mirroring the sun.

Thank you, Laura. I am just now catching up on reading replies to posts from our trip. We truly saw the sensations of mother earth on this journey, between the Norwegian fjords, the beautiful countryside of Ireland, and the stark harsh landscape of Iceland.

Me too! Just getting to reading comments from posts I made while on our trip. Although I travel with a lot of black and white to mix and match easily and cut down on clothes to take, I delight in bringing small brightly colored accessories: scarves, a necklace, etc. Color me a splashy gal! 🙂
