Twiglet #8, two views

Like folding chairs
marred from years of abuse,
they wait to be used again.

Like folding chairs unfolding
legs scrunched to body,
newborns squeal with protest.

Twiglet #8 is folding chairs. A twiglet is a short phrase. Or a word. Maybe two. Its aim is to “prompt” a flow. A thought. The idea is to create a poem or piece of prose using the twiglet as the jumping off point – the shorter the better! New twiglet prompts from Misky appear each Tuesday — join the fun! Isn’t it amazing the thoughts one conjures up from just two words? 🙂

Excellent take on those folding chairs. I’d never have thought to take it in this direction. Brava!!

Thank you! Twiglets are really fun to do….I’ve always loved doing “short” poetry so wiglets really rock in my estimation. Do join us! 🙂

The first one made my heart catch, so painful and true. The second–squealing and all–left me feeling some hope, hope that someone will listen and tend to the babe.

Some folding chairs really do get well used…But like hangers in a closet I wonder if they too multiply…

Oh, that baby – so hard to unfold ’em. 🙂
