Christmas lights flicker
like memories this time of year.
Snow falls quietly
somehow ignorant of her pain.
Dedicated to all those who have difficulty this time of year . . . facing personal challenges, illness, grief, or loss. And remembering those who are no longer with us to celebrate this holiday season.
Lovely Lillian. The Ghosts of Christmas past are always with us. And those of us who have suffered loss or are in the process of losing, thank you for your prayers and wishes.

It really is a tough season for so many people. A church I know of has a “blue Christmas” service several days before Christmas — it is especially for those who find Christmas difficult in the face of loss or challenges. I think that is such a good idea.

We do get so caught up in the holiday hub bub that we don’t notice those among us with somber expressions on their faces.
I’m glad you liked this one.
