And her spirit shall live within the sea
immortality within its ebb and flow.
Ashes tossed from sandy shore catch wind,
float quietly ‘neath shifting clouds
sink, adhere to anemones
and sail on dolphin fins.
Her smile illuminates in lunar path,
glistens under golden sun.
And generations shall feel her touch
toes stepping, leaping within her waves.
I came over tonight to read and catch up with any photos posted of your journey, Lill. Your haibun of you visiting a Buddhist temple really spoke to me because I had a very similar experience when I visited a temple that was hosting historical relics from the Buddha himself and many exalted teachers of Buddhism. I was completely transported. Thanks for sharing your trip experiences. Have fun!

So glad you enjoyed. The visit to the Buddhist Temple was truly mesmorizing for me. It just takes you inward and outward at the same time, if that makes sense.

Thank you, Kim. I’ve a close friend who has been battling ovarian cancer for about 18 months. I try to keep her smiling by sending here a silly bathrobe photo of me every Monday…IE first one was of me in my bathrobe at our local fire station and the insisted on putting a hat and boots on me and having me sit on the bumper of the engine! The photos have happened wherever I’ve been. Posed with the Captin and crew of the Celebrity cruise ship during our second cruise. Have just found out the cancer is now throughout her brain………..it is just so very hard. She is far too young to become an angel…..I was feeling melancholy about her when I wrote this. She has 5 beautiful children.
