Lillian as Lily?

Living my life as a perennial?
Lily of the valley, that would be me.
Closest to forever
I ever would be.

Lily of the valley, that would be me,
planted beneath our family tree.
I ever would be
blooming and seeing generations to come.

Planted beneath our family tree.
Closest to forever,
blooming and seeing generations to come,
living my life as a perennial.

What a fascinating thought–to be a flower, a perennial. And of course, to bloom then again every year. Lovely, Lillian.

A delightful combination of prompts, Lill, and the perfect flower to choose, a delicate and beautifully scented perennial. My Nan wore lily of the valley scent and every time I smell it, I know she’s there. It’s not that common a ‘village department store’ in nearby Wroxham stocks it, and I sometimes drop in there just to test a spray.
