Christmas Spirits

She tries to concentrate.
Christmas tree lights
carols, cards,
and gingerbread men.

But clouds gather
like an impending storm,
memories.
And she misses them.

In all the joyful celebrations of the Christmas season, we forget that for some, this is a very difficult time of year.
