Today is
yesterday’s questionable tomorrow.
Have faith in the morrows
and shelter on.
Written for day 2 of National Poetry Writing Month and dVerse, the virtual pub for poets.
Also Imaginary Garden for Toads‘ prompt for April 2 is to write something appropriate for street poetry….I take that to mean something we could chalk on our sidewalk as a message for others. Image from Pixabay.com.
You too, Lillian!

Right back at you. They say tomorrow never comes. I like your version of it. Good luck on your 30-day poetry junket.

Thanks, Glenn. I’ve decided today is a no-news and no-social media day…..just reading poetry, writing, knitting, yoga, and maybe a good movie. I’m looking forward to reading your Thursday installment in a bit! 🙂 What is Buck up to now?

Thank you, Kim. Yes, I’m following the Toad April 2020 prompts but silly me, did not realize how to enter them in Mr Linky on that site until Day 4. So that’s why there’s chalk/street art! 🙂 I really enjoyed yours as you’ll see by my comment!

Sorry about typos, Lill. I’m on my gremlin Kindle again. I’ll be back reading and commenting early tomorrow morning.

Good thing….because that’s what we’re all, across the globe, supposed to be doing in these surreal times. Stay safe, my friend!

A lovely message, Lillian. The other day when I was walking, I saw a bunch of chalk drawings and messages–I imagined maybe middle school age kids writing things like “if you’re reading this, you’re awesome,” and “Be Strong, we’ll get through this” with suns and flowers. It made me smile.

Yes….we’ve seen chalked messages on the news here, from burbs and more neighborhoody places. We are in a high rise across from Mass General Hospital right in the city of Boston so no place to really do that. But I love the idea of it!

Thank you, Grace. Right back at you. And by the way, I originally said I could not tend the pub the month of June because we would be on back-to-back cruises….obviously that’s not happening. So if someone must drop out or you need a filler, just let me know 🙂
