. . . and ye shall stumble

Mountain mist shroud
clings wet and opaque.
Paths disappear.

Dampened earth waits
as sun inevitably shifts.
Atmosphere and temperature warm.

Suffocating clamminess transforms.
Life-giving moisture droplets
kiss ever-greening leaves.

Benchmarks reappear.

Written for dVerse where Michelle asks us to write words of advice, in poetic form. Photos from trip to Alaska, several years ago.

That’s wonderful Lilkian. The clamminess yields those gleaming , life-giving droplets. The title reminded me how unstable I am walking on slippery slopes, yikes!

A perfect analogy in words and image. When we get lost in the fog of life, we do miss everything around us. When it lifts…..aha……there are the familiar landmarks, the beauty, the things we always relied on but couldn’t see in all our grief or pain.
    Lovely, Lillian.

Clouds of mist will definitely cloud our way in life. But fortunately, it does not stay that way!
