Fib Poetry X 3

She
said
I do
and he said
tomorrow I will.
No happily ever after.

Fib
me
tell me
you love me
never let me go.
False hopes are my down comforter.

Lie
with
me now
and we’ll live
a love of fool’s gold.
Shining ore not, craving your touch.

I love the play of these… and the sensuality (and pun) contained in the last! Very nice. It’s a fun form, isn’t it? Like the Haiku, you have to pack meaning in an overnight bag… or a toiletry bag. No, wait! In the clutch purse… just in case. 😉

Thanks — so glad you enjoyed. Oh yes….the clutch purse for when I’m in the clutch of my Muse! 🙂 It is a very fun form! Wonder if dVerse has ever done it as a prompt?

Don’t know, but Jilly had posted a fun play on the form in dVerse back on May 4th.

I was just thinking the same thing… Back when Charley posted his Fib & Lai originally, I decided it was time to take this form in hand and looking back, I posted mine on OLN in early May. I love forms for the fact that they force me to think hard about every word and syllable. With that in mind, I sally for to write another Fibonacci or two this day. I really enjoyed the bitter sweet of your 3 fibs – that down comforter of false hopes – you have filled these lines with symbolism extrordinaire!
