Lysefjord

Echos of light reflect rugged beauty.
Silent walls of rock carved by glaciers,
mirror themselves in ancient seas.

We sail, necks craned,
staring, gaping in awe.

Awareness dawns
in setting sun.

We are but specks
on the scales of time.

Thanks, Jill. So glad to have some connection again – but it is fleeting so can’t really read much. Today we sail into Cork, Ireland and do an excursion called The Best of Ireland. So excited to see this beautiful land.

Ancient seas and rock make our lives seem very short. Nice photographs and clear water.

Exactly! They’ve stood for thousands and thousands of years and we are here but a millisecond in comparison,

Exactly! And now we are in our Ireland / Iceland last leg of this magnificent trip. Yesterday we were in Guernsey and walked the serene island of Herm. Such beauty, this earth.

Wonderful images and echoes in the fjords Lillian – ‘We are but specks on the scales of time’ in witness of all this beauty. Wishing you a wonderful time in Ireland, a place full of friends you haven’t met yet ;o) xxx

Specks on the scales of time. Makes me think of sea beasts, Midgard Serpents. Impressive words for spectacular scenery 🙂

“Specks on the scales of time” for sure, compared to this beauty. The photos are breathtaking.

Beautiful description of self awareness – we are here for a millisecond of time while observing what has taken mother nature millions if not billions of years to create. Beautifully said. 🙂
