Thank you, Glenn. Have been “unplugged” for a few days — shall get over to others’ posts on “leaves” now. Sometimes the mind has to rest. Glad you enjoyed this one!

Thank you so much, my friend. Was “unplugged” for a few days — just getting to reading, posting, and replying now. Sometimes the mind just needs to rest a bit 😉

Love the colors of autumn, including your picture. This line was really good:

Iridescent patterns shimmer, shift, and spread

Thanks, Grace. Have been unplugged for a few days and just getting back to my reading, posting, and replying. I am hopelessly behind and sadly shall not catch up with some of the past posts. But sometimes, the brain just needs to rest 🙂

To come upon this red tree last autumn — took my breath away. And believe it or not, my photo does not do it justice! So glad you enjoyed.

Lovely! Nicely rhymed, and the last line breaking the pattern strengthens the statement.

Ah Rosemary — I struggle so with rhyming. I’m mainly a free verse kind of gal so truly appreciate your thoughtful comments here!

Oh Victoria, how wrong you are….I really really struggle with rhyme. To get it so it’s not simplistic or sing-songy. I so admire folks who can rhyme and keep the “sense” of the poem uppermost in the reader’s mind and ear. Thank you for your very kind words — so very appreciated!
