one star per dance
beneath the sliver moon
come with me and be my love
one star per dance
one star per dance
your lips and mine shall meet
bodies meld together
one star per dance
one star per dance
look up and know my love
the galaxy forevermore
one star per dance
It’s Poetic Tuesday at dVerse and Mish asks us to become songwriters today, remembering to “lighten up our phrases to make them singable” — use repetition, create a refrain. I’ll leave you to make up the tune! 🙂 Photo from pixabay.com
I love the thought here… the once star per dance, great repetition… here. I can clearly hear it being sung.

This one is a pure romantic ballad. I can her Adele singing it. I went with a Leonard Cohen vibe on mine.

Hmmm – I vote for Hoagy Carmichael to do the comp on this one! Love it 🙂

Started out with very complex dance — so many words and tricky beat — the kind of dance you’d need footsteps on the floor in 12 different colors, right and left feet and curved lines for dips. Scrapped it and went with this little ditty — the simple idea of a lifetime of stars up there, one for each dance — and we’re still going strong! 🙂
