I couldn’t do this for a thousand dollar bet. It’s a gift! And takes lots of patience!

    Lillian
as one who can’t sew a button on correctly, I appreciate the amazing art that is quilting
a dear friend of mine, is a fabulous quilter and I know the painstaking, tedious and passionate process that is quilting – the art of the cloth
you’ve stitched a lovely homage to your friend here

I tried quilting once. I could sew and in those days made many of my kids’ clothes. But I’m a lickety-split kind of gal and the patience needed and time needed to quilt – ugh! And you finally got all the pieces sewn together and then you had to back the whole thing, stuff it, and then you still had to sew the “pattern” into the entire thing. Nope — I ended up with lots of scraps of material I had for many years and finally tossed when we moved to Boston.
