Artist in Waiting

Obsessed with her oils
and the patina of still life,
she spent her later years
living in a shadow world,
feasting on edibles
from her studio walls.

    Lillian,
Your enchanting verse makes this pastel spring to fruitful life – I thank you for honoring my art in this way. Your creations are art too, my friend. ‘”patina of still life” – now these words are strokes of artistic genius:)
    Happy Sunday eve

    This is beautiful, Lillian.

I originally came over looking for your Quadrille. Your dVerse linky doesn’t go anywhere. (It’s an “oops” page.) ๐Ÿ˜‰ Just letting you know.

Never mind, link works now. Maybe it didn’t work because the scheduled poem just wasn’t up yet. ๐Ÿ˜‰

my mistake — I scheduled it for 3:15 — so link didn’t go anywhere to begin with. Glad it’s working now. And glad you liked the Artist in Waiting piece too!
